Types of Student Opportunities

Job Shadowing/Observation (No hands-on patient activity)
If you are considering a career in healthcare and not sure if you are on the right track or you are needing 80 hours or less of observation time to meet educational requirements, apply online for an opportunity to shadow a healthcare professional.
Clinical Rotation
If you are currently seeking clinical rotation or job shadowing experience with a Physician or Allied Health Professional (e.g. Physician Assistant, Nurse Practitioner, Nurse Anesthetist, or Doctor of Podiatric Medicine), please contact Beth Nicely via phone (270-417-6864) or email (Beth.Nicely@OwensboroHealth.org)

Internship (Unpaid)
If you need to complete an internship to meet education requirements or are simply seeking to gain hands-on experience in your field of study, you are welcome to apply! Students must be able to complete a minimum of 80 hours.
Summer Internship Program (Paid)
Owensboro Health offers an annual summer internship program beginning the end of May and running through early September.
Program Details and Application Links
- This program offers opportunities in both clinical and non-clinical roles.
- Interns are able to work a maximum of 288 hours for the duration of the summer.
