Happy 2026!
Beginning a new year with resolutions to make personal changes is a tradition, but we can sometimes be too lofty in our intent or not plan how to achieve our objectives. When this happens, the goals can be overwhelming, and we are not able to move forward. According to a study by Columbia University, only 25 percent of people stick to their goal after a month. There are many health benefits to goal setting. To be successful with new year resolutions here are some helpful tips:
- Set SMART goals that are Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant and Time-bound.
- Focus on the habit you want to change instead of the goal.
- Find an accountability partner who can help you stay on track with goals.
- Be realistic in setting goals.
- Track progress and adjust goals if situations change. Be flexible and don’t give up!
Our team at the Healthpark is here to assist you with your wellness goals and establishing a plan for success. Our encouragement for 2026 is that small steps can lead to big accomplishments. Let one of our wellness professionals help you find ways to move toward your goals.
