2026 Funding Recipients Announced During Event

Owensboro Health hosted Owensboro Health Invests, an event highlighting the system’s commitment to strengthening regional health, on Thursday, February 12. During the event, Owensboro Health outlined several components of its community investment strategy, including targeted grants, philanthropy and strategic community partnerships. Organizations receiving FY2026 Community Health Investments funding were announced as part of the celebration.

This year, Owensboro Health supported 17 projects across the region through the Community Health Investments program. Applicants began the process last July by attending information sessions and submitting formal proposals. A review committee of Owensboro Health team members evaluated submissions and determined funding amounts.

The event also featured an overview of Owensboro Health’s total community investment strategy, as leaders from Population Health, Owensboro Health Foundation, Community Engagement and Marketing spoke about various ways the system partners with communities and organizations. This multi-layered approach shows that grants are just one tool in a comprehensive, system-wide plan, said Owensboro Health Vice-President of Population Health James Tidwell, M.D.

Owensboro Health President and CEO Mark Marsh added that great partnerships are the key to a successful future for Western Kentucky and Southern Indiana.
